The Founder’s Journey – Raphael Souza
Our founder, Raphael Souza, arrived in the United States in 2019, like many immigrants — in search of purpose and opportunity. In 2020, he began informally helping fellow Brazilians with their Road Tests in English, simply out of a genuine desire to support others.
What started as an act of empathy soon became a true calling. In 2021, Raphael became a RMV-certified driving instructor in Massachusetts and has since helped transform the lives of hundreds of new drivers.
After four years of learning, experience, and over 3.500 students successfully licensed, Patriots Driving School was born — a school that reflects his story, his values, and his vision of the world.

We believe driving is more than just a skill — it’s freedom, independence, and empowerment. That’s why our mission is to train new drivers with safety, empathy, and excellence, providing high-quality instruction that contributes to more mindful and responsible roads. We’re especially committed to supporting those who face extra challenges, such as language barriers, anxiety, or fear of driving.
